Important Notice!!!
Attention all owners of Blu-ray disc players and those planning to purchase a Blu-ray disc player: according to all manufacturers of Blu-ray disc players such as Sony and Samsung, the following guidelines apply.

Software upgrades are needed for your new Blu-ray player.

Since Blu-ray players are still a rather new technology, all units require upgrades from the manufacturer, just as computers receive from time to time.

Check the operator’s manual that came with your Blu-ray disc player for the address of the manufacturer’s web site and instructions on how to download the upgrade for your unit. Most websites allow you to download the upgrade to your computer for burning onto a CD and you install it by placing the CD in the disc slot of your Blu-ray disc player.

If this action is not performed, the only Blu-ray discs you will be able to play are those from major Hollywood film companies that contain a special cryptographic signature (part of the AACS copy-protection system) that cannot be copied.

Blu-ray discs from independent production companies such as ours will not play on your unit unless it has received the latest upgrades from the manufacturer, as these upgrades were not available at the time the units were produced at the factory.

If you try to play a DVD and a warning is displayed that states: “cannot play this disc” and the disc is ejected, then you will need to perform the upgrade before being able to play all Blu-ray discs.
